The Best Of The Epic Years brings together 16 tracks from his three hugely successful albums on Epic Records and will certainly renew interest in one of this countries more deserving talents. This year Finley Quaye tours the U.K and North America followed by an exciting new 2009 release`Pinnacle`, described as a fresh reggae / trip-hop collection of songs.
Slightly late with this one but `TwentyFourSeven`is undoubtedly the best UB40 release in a decade regarding their roots energy and quality production. The fresh outlook doesn`t hide UB40`s drive for perfect reggae based songs. For us personally, this collection of songs sits perfectly with the many classics from over twenty years ago. UB40 albums don`t fly off the shelves, it`s a marathon not a sprint to a group who slowly sell millions of records around the world , the word I use is fizzling ... Fizzling with a brass section and Maxi Priest , That`s Class !
